Nishikoi Clear Waters KH Booster can be used to increase the KH of ponds to achieve the correct water parameters for a healthy and balanced pond.

KH is the measurement of carbonate hardness in water which is not to be confused with GH which is a measurement of general hardness. KH is often the most overlooked parameter when carrying out water quality testing and is often responsible for unstable pond environments and very often unknown fish, water plant and mollusc losses. If the KH is allowed to drop too low, major swings in pH can occur, and if left unattended the pH can "crash" resulting in the death of fish and other pond inhabitants.

Nitrifying bacteria, which are needed in abundance within the biological filter, cannot survive without KH. No KH means no biological filtration and in turn this allows harmful ammonia and nitrite levels created naturally through fish waste to rise and as a consequence your fish will be more susceptible to disease and increased mortalities.

Various natural things within the pond all help to reduce KH levels. These include intake by the fish and water plants, but also the consumption by bacteria through the biological action within the pond and filter. Probably the biggest reason for KH drops is rainwater falling in the pond and topping up the pond with tap water in soft tap water areas.

Use Nishikoi Clear Waters KH Booster to achieve the correct KH parameters, then utilise Nishikoi Clear Waters Clearly Stable on a regular basis to create a more stable environment for the pond and its inhabitants.

Dosage:
Add 25ml of Clear Waters KH Booster for every 250 litres (55 gallons) of water. This will raise the KH level in the pond by 2.5DH. Gradually increase KH by adding Clear Waters KH Booster over a 24-48 hour period and re-test between doses until the desired levels are reached.

Mix KH Booster in a bucket or watering can of warm (not hot) water and disperse evenly over the pond surface whilst avoiding direct contact with water plants. The ideal KH in ponds is between 6 - 8 degrees and testing is recommended on a regular basis particularly after rainfall and in naturally soft water land areas.

Palletised Deliveries

Some large oversize products, typically items weighing more than 30kg, may require delivery via pallet and as such will arrive as a kerbside delivery only. The drivers in these instances are unfortunately not permitted to assist with the pallet beyond the drop off, and cannot aid in bringing packages into the property.

Pond Plant Deliveries & Surcharge

Pond plants are subject to a £5.00 delivery surcharge. Pond plants are sent directly from our supplier to make sure the plants you receive are fresh and in great condition. There is no limit on how many you can order for a single delivery charge. This charge is in addition to any other carriage costs for items sent directly from Pond Planet. Please allow 5 -10 working days for delivery.

Returns

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from Pond Planet, you may return the product(s) to us within 14 days of the purchase date for a refund or exchange.

Goods must be returned in perfect and unused condition, in their original packaging. The buyer must ensures that the goods are securely and adequately packed to avoid damage and the purchaser pays all postage costs. We recommend that products are returned by recorded delivery or by a carrier that requires a signature. Pond Planet accepts no responsibility for goods returned to us unless signed proof can be provided.
