JBL ProNovo Pleco Wafer Sinking Food tablets with wood content are ideal for herbivorous sucker catfish ranging in size from 1-20cm.

The group of sucker catfish is quite diverse in its diet: the vast majority of species feed herbivorously on plants and algae. Of these, many species are also wood eaters. However, there are also species, such as the zebra or cactus catfish, which do not eat plants but eat micro-organisms, insects and even dead fish. For these species JBL ProNovo Tab is the better choice. For all other sucking catfish, JBL ProNovo Pleco Wafer has been developed and is available in two sizes.

Some catfish species will not come out when the light is on. If you then feed food tablets, they will disintegrate and tend to be eaten by the other fish. In this case it is advisable to feed JBL ProNovo Pleco Wafers after switching off the light. The wafers do not dissolve so quickly and retain their consistency until the catfish are active, so that the sucker catfish have to grate vigorously (important for the teeth - no joke!).

What do I do if I keep different types of bottom dwellers in an aquarium?
Fish also have a sense of taste and refuse food they don’t like. No bottom-dwelling species would experience problems if they ate a food tablet intended for another species (e.g. loaches). So feed both types of tablets (e.g. JBL ProNovo Pleco Wafers for herbivorous sucker catfish and JBL ProNovo Tab for carnivorous or omnivorous catfish) at the same time. It is even beneficial for the fish, as they are offered more variety and yet each group of fish gets its species-appropriate nutrition.

Palletised Deliveries

Some large oversize products, typically items weighing more than 30kg, may require delivery via pallet and as such will arrive as a kerbside delivery only. The drivers in these instances are unfortunately not permitted to assist with the pallet beyond the drop off, and cannot aid in bringing packages into the property.

Pond Plant Deliveries & Surcharge

Pond plants are subject to a £5.00 delivery surcharge. Pond plants are sent directly from our supplier to make sure the plants you receive are fresh and in great condition. There is no limit on how many you can order for a single delivery charge. This charge is in addition to any other carriage costs for items sent directly from Pond Planet. Please allow 5 -10 working days for delivery.

Returns

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from Pond Planet, you may return the product(s) to us within 14 days of the purchase date for a refund or exchange.

Goods must be returned in perfect and unused condition, in their original packaging. The buyer must ensures that the goods are securely and adequately packed to avoid damage and the purchaser pays all postage costs. We recommend that products are returned by recorded delivery or by a carrier that requires a signature. Pond Planet accepts no responsibility for goods returned to us unless signed proof can be provided.
