API Nitra-Zorb is a highly effective filtration media in an easy to use pouch format that removes the harmful toxins, ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite, from freshwater aquariums. Nitra-Zorb helps reduce the risk of fish loss during aquarium setup and ongoing maintenance. Suitable for use in most brands of external canister filters, API Nitra-Zorb can be reused after being recharged in a salt solution.

What Causes High Nitrate In Aquariums?

Nitrate forms in aquariums when beneficial bacteria break down ammonia from fish waste, uneaten food and decaying organic matter into nitrite and then nitrate. High nitrate concentrations can compromise aquarium water quality and fish health, even when the water appears clear. Test for nitrate weekly to identify rising concentrations and address problems early.

When To Use API Nitra-Zorb?

Use API Nitra-Zorb when setting up a new aquarium, whenever ammonia or nitrite is detected, or when nitrate concentrations exceed 20 ppm (mg/L).

How To Use API Nitra-Zorb?

Rinse the pouch with tap water for several minutes to remove dust. For best results place the pouch in the filter’s water flow.

• For a new aquarium, or when ammonia or nitrite is detected: Recharge every 5 days for the first month, then every 2 weeks for the second month.
• For an established aquarium: Recharge every 2 weeks.
• When nitrate is detected: Recharge every 5 days until nitrate is reduced to 20 ppm (mg/L) or less.
• Replace Pouch: Every 2 months.

How To Recharge API Nitra-Zorb?

To recharge the pouch, dissolve 80g of API Aquarium Salt in 240ml of warm tap water. Soak for 2 hours, then rinse lightly under tap water. Between uses, store the pouch in the recharging solution.

Palletised Deliveries
Some large oversize products, typically items weighing more than 30kg, may require delivery via pallet and as such will arrive as a kerbside delivery only. The drivers in these instances are unfortunately not permitted to assist with the pallet beyond the drop off, and cannot aid in bringing packages into the property.

Returns
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from Pond Planet, you may return the product(s) to us within 14 days of the purchase date for a refund or exchange.

Goods must be returned in perfect and unused condition, in their original packaging. The buyer must ensure that the goods are securely and adequately packed to avoid damage and the purchaser pays all postage costs. We recommend that products are returned by recorded delivery or by a carrier that requires a signature.
