Got additional storage room to accommodate an external filter? A Fluval Sea or Oase external filter from our range will provide efficient, quiet, reliable filtration, and comes in a range of designs and sizes to suit your aquarium needs.
Being much larger in size, external filters are suitable for aquarium owners with additional storage space around the tank. Easily stored in cabinets below aquariums, external filters are more advanced and more efficient than internal filters, and can hold a much larger quantity of filter media.
A range of internal filters from a leading manufacturer
Fluval aquarium equipment is renowned as some of the best and most reliable on the market. Our range includes the Fluval 206, Fluval 306 and Fluval 406 external filters, as well as the popular FX4 and FX6 models. While the 206, 306 and 406 designs offer fast setup and run quietly, the FX models also offer multi-stage filtration, holding a selection of different media.
All Fluval external filters effectively remove toxins, debris and other waste from your aquarium water, and are suitable for use with both fresh and saltwater. External filters work by sucking water from the aquarium via a pipe and passing it through the external filtration system, before feeding the clean water back into the aquarium. Without adequate filtration, harmful toxins will build up and cause your tank to become uninhabitable for your fish and plant life.
If you have sufficient space, external filters are a recommended choice for owners of larger fish tanks and more demanding aquarium environments. As they are larger and don’t need to be submerged in water, the technology within them is much more advanced than their internal counterparts.
As a leading aquarium brand, you can always rely on Fluval to provide you with a top quality external filter, but if you would like to learn more about this particular range simply give our experienced sales team a call on 01642 612419.
